The only upgrade I have made is bumped it up to 2GB RAM.
Has anyone tried using their eee pc to run Windows Home Server? I'm thinking at the very least, it could be a decent place to store and stream movies/music from.

It may run, but not sure why 1 would want to cripple a perfectly running "netbook" into a paper weight.
I'd rather use W7 to enable share drive/folder over network, then disable sleep mode and leave the charger connected.

Gotta ask... why? Wouldn't a old desktop machine be a lot better choice for running Windows Home Server than a netbook? Not saying it can't be done, just doesn't make much logical sense.

have you looked at Tversity. If you are trying to stream movies to you PS3/Xbox or other devices then have a look at it. I use it to Transcode and Stream Movies and Music to my PS3 from my 1000H
