huawei e160e and moblin

I haven't yet had a chance to test everything because for now I'm playing only moblin live 2.0. but for now, I haven't found any way to make mi ONLY internet connection; 3G by Huawei e160e stick.. moblin doesn't see it.. or atleast wont find it in live. IS there some easy way to fix this? I will install moblin anyway as soon as I get to mi brothers place ,because he has wlan so I can do more testing.

I did fall love to moblin, It's perfect distro for me and mi 1005ha.. everything expect that 160e, did work out of the box. that made me wonder, would some moblin based other distro work even better.. but for now I'm happy with moblin with xp because I need that in school (untill I find way to hack in they'r super hyper weird wlan with linux)

yay.

1005HA XP untill Moblin is ready enough or find some even better/faster/easier distro. eel free to giv a hint

Re: huawei e160e and moblin

Why don't you try with Ubuntu? Moblin is only a few months old, I'd doubt that they have any 3G modem support. If you need to download files, I suppose you could put them on a USB drive...

Triple-booting Windows XP, Windows 7 RC and Xubuntu, soon to be quad-booting with Mac OS X Leopard! Can anyone offer advice?

Re: huawei e160e and moblin

I have try both 9.04 and 9.10 ubuntu but they just wont work... I don't know exactly why.. maybe I have to try the netbook ubuntu... everytime the live works good, but when I install it on harddrive, it wont even start. hit's error again and again... and to tell the truth I don't like ubuntu much... maybe I should test new ZenWalk..

Ubuntu Netbook Remix is literally Ubuntu Desktop with a slapped-on "Netbook Launcher". Have you tried installing Ubuntu from Windows XP with the Wubi tool?

yeh, Ubuntu smell's like windows with all that unnecessary **** around, and slowness.. I did try xubuntu too, but .. don't know.. somehow I feel that ubuntu etc. are somewhat.. to big...
