Well, I just blasted out my win7 rc partition because it became unbootable yesterday... was dual booting and had a hell of a time removing the win7 bootloader, but back to a normal XP boot... I'm not going to risk a BIOS update from 1002 as my XP is stable, and can OC to 2ghz easily. My 1000HE has become my main computer, and I'm not hacking/upgrading anything else until I see a problem. Win7 was pretty, and a clean interface, but I'll stick with XP on this box. ![]()

If you forget about the bios number, it's exactly the same steps.

my first post so go easy.... updated the bios last night to 1104 and got the same acpi errors as everyone else. This is how I got mine working on my 1000he running win7 rtm
1. After bios update, went into add/remove programs and removed asus acpi and superhybrid (reboot after each step).
Installed hotkey 1.5 (reboot)
installed KB filter 1_0_0_0_32 (reboot)
installed SHE 2.09 (reboot)
Then just updated touchpad drivers to 7059 (win7 ones).
Hotkeys working for screen blanking, FN F2 etc, also icon back on system tray for superhybridengine.
hope this helps

Do you still have your battery monitor? I lost mine in Ubuntu Karmic and eee-control (the karmic version) no longer works. And just to add insult to injury... I can't downgrade to 1002 rom :-(

I still have my battery monitor and it's still working correctly. I don't use eee-control so not sure on that. Sorry your running into problems. ![]()

Weird! I did a fresh install of 9.10 (lpia) and I got my battery indicator back, unfortunately I wasn't so lucky with eee-control. Oh well... live and learn I guess.
Thanks just the same.
