t91mt boot question

Hi All,

Does anyone have any idea if the t91mt will be able to boot from either the external sd card reader or usb?

This was the one missing feature that stopped me buying the t91.

Kindest regards

James

Re: t91mt boot question

All PC's are able to boot from external sd card reader or usb.
Go into the bios with esc and choose it. That's it.

Re: t91mt boot question

Thanks for the reply Gringo.

I have heard though that the t91 has a bios that will only allow external booting from a cd.

Can anyone confirm or deny this?

Kindest regards

James

Re: t91mt boot question

Lets see how long that Bios remains in effect, as the T91 (and most Eees) is lacking a CD drive. The esc. on boot trick should work. No direct confirmation, but... Booting from CD without CD. A flaw in the system. smile

Re: t91mt boot question

I've booted from USB pen drive and from USB DVD drive. I haven't booted from SD card, but I believe it's possible (BIOS seems to recognize it).

Netbooks shouldn't have disc drives. They're fragile and carry weight.
