EeeUser Forum / Windows 7 on eee 701 help please

Hi all , ive got a eee701 2gig ram , 8g internal mem and a 16gig sd card currently running xp

Is there a way a total noob can intall windows 7 easily ?

I will be very gratefull if somebody can help with the install

2. Extract all

3. Download Ghost Solution Suite 2.0.1 (http://rapidshare.com/files/100371461/S … .part1.rar and http://rapidshare.com/files/100372380/S … .part2.rar)

4. You need a 4Gb USB Pen Drive or SD CARD

5. Formats one with HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool (http://files.extremeoverclocking.com/file.php?f=197)

6. Run/Open CMD, write convert D: /fs:ntfs (Have to replace D: with the letter of your pen drive)

7. Open Ghost Solution Suite 2.0.1 and browse your .GHO file and click apply

8. Start your EEEPC 701, click ESC, select USB CARD/PEN to boot and still easily with the installation.

Communicate if you need some help!

PS: I hope that there is no problem to have placed here the links to download. If there is problem, I remove the links.

Do i extract the files to the sd card or to the ghost solution suite ?

or do i drag the gho file once applyed to the sd card ?

Do not install anything. Only boot your USB and then the ghost is copied to your SSD.

Can do on your 701. I did in another pc because I had an OS on my 701.

The Ghost Solution Suite 2.0.1 will format and copy your .GHO file to your sdcard, and his ghost suite will work.

!!!!!!! After finishing the .GHO file copy to your SSD you have in the folder "C:\Addons" all the drivers needed for the 701. Read the Instructions files because it is very important. !!!!!!

Can you not just drag the ghost onto the sd card ?

Thankyou for your guidance , i have downloaded and exracted the EEEse7enRC.GHO file
I have formatted my sd card to ntfs

Is there any chance of a more detailed guide from this point please ?

Without missing anything , im not very familiar with these things so i wont know to do things you prob dont think is nessersery to post ,
just dont want to mess anything up , i would rather ask first
