mwave.com is the only store showing the 1000he in stock. I was wondering if anyone actually ordered from there and if it actually shipped. One of my family members visiting from overseas wants to order one before she leaves.

You might try contacting mwave.com to find out if they actually have them in stock.

zipzoomfly.com has them offered as well. However the price is low on the main page then in the cart it is higher.
edit: Just checked and they corrected their price to the higher end but they seem to have them.

I preordered my 1000HE from Amazon so I hope to god it doesn't take months, I was hoping I would get my HE within at most 2 weeks...
EDIT: And actually, where are you seeing that price with the 6-cell? All I see is the 3 cell. Plus a lower screen resolution... I would honestly have pitty if you chose the HP

It's a combination of the $365 jr.com price and $25 cash back from fatwallet.com. My only worry is that jr.com takes too long to ship my order. I'll pay $375 to have the unit ship today.

Placed an order with mwave early yesterday. Order (1000HE) was shipped yesterday and since they are local, it is on the "brown truck" even as I write this, yippee!!!. I did notice late yesterday that they are indicating "No Stock" now.

Ordered from mwave yesterday as well, but I thought I was too late for the in-stock 1000HEs. They did send an email last night saying they expected a shipment today, and this evening I got another email: "Your mwave.com order has been shipped!" It came to about $380 with ground shipping, but I had an offer from BillMeLater that I used which will knock $50 off that when the bill comes.

I bought 1000HE from mwave on 09 March 5th with separate 2Gb RAM for $399.98. On March 7th I got the tracking number. I hope to reach it me soon.

I just got my 1000HE from mwave. It was the blue one, and a refurb, but its mad cheap and I tossed in a 320GB 7200RPM HDD and 2GB of ram. Just threw Win 7 final on it as well. Runs sweet!

I got my 1000HE from mwave. Black refurb last Thursday. I will upgrade to 2gb Ram when it comes in. Runs really well, considering I am graduating from a 701 which I plan I keeping.
