I just installed Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas to a networked hard drive, and it runs just fine. I average 15 FPS @ 900MHz with a gig of RAM, but it plays just fine at that speed. It also started in 800x600 and I could change it to 800x480 from there.

I can confirm that Guild Wars Prophecies, Factions, Nightfall, and Eye of the North all work, though I can't get more than 15FPS outside, even running xp @ 900mhz with a gig of RAM on a 4G.
It would also be nice if I found a way to run it fullscreen at 800x480.
EDIT: I googled a bunch and found that intel's onboard graphics cards suck with guild wars, but there is a way around that. Launch the game with command line switches -dx8 -noshaders
I went from 6-10FPS outside to 10-30 after doing this.
I was surprised how playable GW is. I'm playing it the same way as you windowed. I'm getting 7fps to 36fps. For anyone who doesn't know I would recommend downloading the whole game with the -image switch. The entire game is currently about 3.5gigs.

Freedom Force Vs the Third Reich is running great at 800X480, no over clocking either. Got the game for $5 at Walmart, totally worth it.

I installed fear combat on an external hdd and it runs quite well. Indoor areas run extremely well, while outdoor areas lag a little. I'd like to try out LAN to see if I can get any decent death matches going big_smile
Running it @ 1.1ghz and 2gb of ram.

Got my husband 4G for Christmas, have ordered 8G for me! How do I get Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 to run in the Linux mode? I would really like to put it on a thumb drive and run it without hooking up an external CD. Also, anyone aware of a nice Scrabble linux clone to run on the 3e?

Star Trek: Birth of the Federation runs fine but you must run at 800x600 because there are no resolution choices. Only big concern is I couldn't get a nocd crack working so you have to keep a CD attached. ![]()

I tried star trek: legacy last night, copied entire install on the sdhc card and installed unto itself, it was a VERY long install and ran very slowly on 800x600 w scrolling, wasn't worth it for me so i took it off.
+1, got freelancer to work well.
and also got no$gba working fine on multiple ROMS

One of my alltime favourite games:
EXULT - Ultima VII windows interpreter runs nice in XP.
you can either run it in 800x480 with a pixel scale of 1, where you can see more of the world, or run it in 400*240 with a pixel scale of 2, so its easier to see and read things.
I use the latter, its closer to the original res and you can always set filtering options like '2*sai' which smooths off the pixels.
I currently have a problem where if I select fullscreen it rotates it 90 degrees. i cant work out if its exult doing this or the XP EEE rotation thing! (windows mode works fine though!)

I was able to make those games run on my 4G / 514, but in window mode.
- Grim Fandango: some visual glitch on 3d characters. Could be my video driver.
- Planescape Torment
- Age of Wonders 2
I tried to run Panzer General 2 and failed to make it run because of error with directdraw. I didn't find any info on the
ScummVM is working perfectly in 800x480 mode. I tried:
- Legends of Kyrandia 1 and 2
- Full Throttle
- Days of the tentacle
- Sam n max
- Monkey Island 1 and 2
- Indiana Jones (Holy Grail, Fate of Atlantis)
- Maniac Mansion
- Loom
I wish KOTOR would play on this machine. Someone said it was running at 2 fps. I wonder if anyone else tried it out and change the setting to make it run smoothly.

Knights of the old republic is playable IMO if overclocked to 900mhz. I got around 10 - 20 fps on the first level - struggles a bit when there are a lot of enemies on screen but this doesn't matter so much if you have the game set to pause when an enemy is spotted. I think the eee will struggle in the outdoor areas but I haven't been able to check yet. The res is a bit of a problem though - it will only work in 800x600 minimum and if astray is used to scale there is a problem with the cursor (it seems to be about an inch out to wherever you are pointing). Works fine with scrolling though.
Edit - all graphics settings were on low.
Cheers

Request to recompile with option --small-gui , so that we could enjoy it in native 800x480 resolution w/o scrolling. Details in this thread:

***UPDATE***
Even with a full 900MHz OC, I am sad to report the game was still very chug-tastic and probably wouldn't be very enjoyable...
Works perfect for me. No probs at all. Selected 800x480 in menu, everything set to max. Not a surprise as it used to run like butter on my old Celeron 300@450, which is miles slower compared to a 900Mobile, even @630Mhz

Sonic Adventure DX works fine on the Asus at default speed no over clocking.

So a better alternative to running phantasy star online blue burst is to run Phantasy Star Online V2. It can run at highest settings and has a 640x480 resolution so there is no scrolling during the game.
All games running on a 4G w/ 1GB of ram and no page filling. Loading off a 8GB SDHC card. There are no load times.

Blade Runner (a must for film fans) works native full screen out of the box - check
Beer TYCOON - Works with scrolling, which isn't a prob for this type of game.
NHL 2002 - sELECT 640X480 IN 3D-Setup, makes the game run in 800x480. Perfect.
Serious Sam Second Encounter. Perfect.
Il2 Forgotten Battles. Use AsTray select 800x600. Game is stretched but is very suttle. Best WW2 flight sim IMHO. You may want to lower a few GFX options to keep speed at peak.
NFS Porche Unleashed. Select 800x480 in options. Looks and works great.
Axis and Allies, native full screen out of the box - check (great turn based WWII board game)
The Movies - Needed to select 100x600 in AsTray to install. Game reverts and runs in 800x600 with scrolling. Not a problem with this type of game.
