Hey, I just commented on the front page about how I picked up a pink 4G (under the name Johnny). I figure I would post pictures showing the box cover that the pink editions come in and the unit itself for other people trying pick one up or just curious.
Quick notes!
1. I am a guy. I'm just a sucker for limited edition runs.
2. The pink 4G is a limited edition for Valentine's Day. I asked the store owner if the pink would last (because it would be a great present for my sister) and he told me that the chances of seeing the pink 4G after February was highly unlikely.

I'm under the impression that all the pastel colours (pink, blue, green) will eventually be available in the 4G series...

I bought one of these for my girlfriend.. I've opened but, but I haven't turned it on or anything.
I noticed it says eeePC 4G SURF on the bottom.. though, it has the webcam.
Any idea what the difference between this and the 701 series is?

I saw the "Surf" on the bottom of mine too (just arrived yesterday). Haven't tinkered with the webcam yet, but it's got the 5200mAh battery and a RAM door that gave up it's 512 stick for a 2G stick quite nicely. So far I'm guessing it's a plain ol 4G.... well, as plain as pink gets.

I just checked the bottom of mine and it too has the surf suffix. However, it does have a webcam and a carrying slip was including in the package. The battery is also rated at 5200mAH.
Just check for these three things, since the surf models do not have a webcam and a carrying slip. The battery will also be rated at 4400mAH.
EDIT: DigitalJanitor beat me to it while I was checking. Oh well.

I've got the same info as Freezerburn and Digital Janitor, my question is - did anybody get a pink sleeve, like the New Egg listing promised? What I have read in other threads would suggest not...
