I'm with ConstyXIV
i bought the eee for college use and the amount of hustling and bustling i need to do on a daily basis it is dangerous carrying around me eee with my books unprotected
this case would be the perfect accessory to keeping my beautiful eee unscathed

I live in Finland and I need something to protect my EEE from those god damn polar bears.

We have brought these in for our college. We have certain areas ( Sport0 that staff need to be totally mobile. These are far better than using a PDA as we did before with a greater functionality. We mainly use for electronic registration.

Each morning my eee gets dropped into my backback and slugged around campus to each of my classes, finally returning to my dorm to be flung across the room.

I need a decent case because I put my eee into an overloaded purse along with keys, my lunch, pens and pencils, print-outs and just about any junk that I accumulate. It's a rough life for an eee, but the point of ultra mobility is that you get taken everywhere!

Hm. This thread surely attracts lots of new members. (double accounts?)
Anyway, selection is random and not based upon reasoning.
Otherwise I would definitely revealed that in real life I am a famous neurosurgeon that uses the eeePC every day and has all my patient data on it, so it is very important for public health that I cat the case.
However, since selection is random, I won't reveal this (and actually it is not true anyway; I'll use it on my next space shuttle trip because it is so light; and this is true, just need to get on board :-) )

All my gadgets have a hard life - and the eeePC goes everywhere as it's so portable. The standard bag is too thin and too slippy to hold. It's an accident waiting to happen!

Mine needs protecting from all the stuff in my bag, e.g. headphones, gps unit, usb leads, bus timetables, keys, usb SD cardreader, green plastic t-rex (?), tobacco tin, packet of neurofen, 2 biros, tube of superglue, another set of keys, the ring I took out of my nipple, a little bag with bands I use when I plait my beard, and a packet of chewing gum.
And that's all the **** I have in my bag today, and I'm not even going anywhere special.

I'm a police officer and I take mine to work with me. On the passenger seat of my car I keep a milk crate. It's full of books, papers, heavy magazines of 5.56mm ammunition, a heavy flashlight, a metal water bottle, tickets, forms, pens, a knife, screwdriver for taking license plates and various other pieces of equipment for my trade.
If I'm sitting surfing in a parking lot somewhere and a hot call goes out - a shooting, a beating, a nasty car crash, etc. - my poor little eee gets slapped shut and and dropped unceremoniously into the milk crate along with all that other equipment. As i hit the lights and sirens, there is rides, bouncing off the extra ammunition, knife, and company. As I careen through turns I often glance over and wonder if I'm mistreating it as I seeing bouncing around over there. Travelling 95mph down the boulevard, blowing through red lights and all, is probably not best treatment for the eee.
Someday, it might even take a bullet during a shootout (that thought really bothers me...!) and when it does, at least it should be well-dressed for the occasion!

While I hike in the wilderness and stop to sit on some boulder to write with my Eee, there's the ever present danger of dropping the unit into the undergrowth or on some rocks where it might get damaged. During winter, even icy snow can cause wear and tear (let alone shortcuts). Thus, I need to have something protective to surround my favourite toy and protect it from the danger of the harsh world.

I need a good protection, because there is no device of mine, which have not fallen on ground. My cellphone is a witness...

I lend the Eee to my wife.

It needs to be protected from my Windows XP laptop that keeps trying to push my Eee PC off my desk.

I am always dropping things. I put my EEE in my school bag and I'd like to keep it pretty. So that when I get married I can give it to my new bride and buy another for me ![]()

I carry my eee in a Mark VII gas mask bag and the original sleeve is a little on the thin side for protecting it in there. A new case would make my shiny happy eee even happier.

My Eee hates me...
I stick it in my bookbag with a few other heavy textbooks, walking all throughout the city. My Eee is squished, cold, and sad. It also dropped once from my desk in school and right then I really wish I had a case for it (although I was amazed that my power button "fixed itself" :p).

A little extra protection from the bumps and grinds of life.

I haven't really gotten around to using my eeePC mobily yet, mostly due to the fact I am still not sastified with the Operating System. I'm running Ubuntu, and I just got the Webcam working last night, but it sucks that I can't use it with Compiz! So, I'd like this case mostly because it is a hassle to bring out the neoprene sleeve and pull it out, and try to balance it holding the sleeve.

I fall asleep on the couch with my eee on my chest....if I were to roll over and my ee were to drop to the floor , it would be much happier with a carrymobile snake print case!

I actually need it because I use a standar student bag to carry it and it is no enough safe from hits and dangerous stuff.

It happens to be that I carry my Eee with me everywhere I go. It's so light that it isn't noticable when you carry it around. People don't realize you have anything like that in your backpack, and during school, people aren't nice and do not watch out for things that you have to put on the floor. I've had my bookbag have footprints placed on them because people do not look where they walk. I've actually had CDs break because people do not look where they've stepped.

I carry it throughout the house and am concerned that something will drop on it or get spilled. I am hoping this case will give it some extra protection.
Offline
I sure could use a case to carry around in the waiting for my eee to arive.
After that i guess it will slip into that leathercase and be dragged around in an ordinary student bag.

I need extra protection because I travel on the el in Chicago about four times a day if not more. I've already cracked the case on my eee in its original bag, took a great deal to fix it. I don't want to have to mend her again.
