Phantasy Star Online Blue Burst plays fine at 900Mhz windowed mode, its laggy at stock speed but at 900 runs fine.

Re: The 'Does this game work in Windows' Thread

Has anyone got the Need for speed underground (NFSU) 1 Demo working?

Been hearing about a possible driver that may do the trick, can anyone share some info on this? Also would a overclock be required?
Many thanks

ps. Unreal Tournament 1 runs at 800x480 - stock speed and intel gfx driver fine 9/10 (possible overclock to reduce fps drops needed) winblows xp wink

Benco97 here (from Eve) and I've tried playing it on my Eee at 900mhz and 2gig ram. Unplayable for anything other than trading in station and setting skills.

Re: The 'Does this game work in Windows' Thread

I've got a request:  Asheron's Call: ToD or DM.  Not too many people playing it any more (so I won't be too surprised if the request is not fulfilled), but I might get back into it if I can play it on the eee pc.

Can anybody find a way to force the resolution to 800x480?
Other than that its perfect!

Re: The 'Does this game work in Windows' Thread

Works perfect (since .cfg files can be edited)

+ Quake 3 Arena
+ Return to Castle Wolfenstein
+ Startrek Voyager: Elite Force
+ Heavy Metall: F.A.K.K. 2

Further...
+ Warcraft III
+ Dungeon Siege (don't start the VideoConfig, then you'll get it work on 800x480)
+ EVE Online (you can do some mining with everything set to minimum and 900 Mhz, nothing else)

Everything tested with original INTEL driver, no faked or hacked one - so there's no emulated 640x480/800x600 with stretching or squishing.

Re: The 'Does this game work in Windows' Thread

Kicking myself trying to get fallout 2 to work; one of the main reasons I finally decided to buy an Eee! (Okay, not the best reason, but still...)

Anyone had any success? I keep hitting an error dialog on startup: "error initializing video mode" or "error initializing video mode 640x480" Compatibilty modes don't seem to help.

I'd appreciate any ideas and I'll post a method if I do get it to run!

Re: The 'Does this game work in Windows' Thread

Confirmed!

Call Of The Cthulhu: Dark Corners Of The Earth

Runs in 800x480 off the bat. I recommend 900 mhz OC, and mod its devices config file to reduce its graphics settings, such as max texture sizes. Easy to do!

Re: The 'Does this game work in Windows' Thread

age of empires 1 and rise of rome confirmed working (though you have to use hacked drivers, use the paper clip method, or plug in an external monitor/clone desktop when you load it). Ive also seen people running AOE2 with screenshots and its expansion just fine.

also confirm microsoft's fury3 as working although only in windowed mode (i have the same problem on my desktop so i think im going to blame xp)

cod1 and cod2 on direct x7 didnt make much of a difference to your fps ingame. with a low res of the eee, and all low graphics i reckon it might run
