I have now Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic on my Eee PC 900, but it's running very slow, so I would like to install Browserlinux instead. Can anyone help me and tell how to? I'm having trouble installing Unetbootin as well, so if there is any other way, please tell me about it.
Thank you very much!

I do not believe that dropping all the way down to browserlinux is necessary to achieve the speed increases you are looking for. Ubuntu/kubuntu are resource consuming. You would probably be more happy with Xubuntu or Debian-LXDE or http://puppylinux.org/
You can apt-get usb-creator (this only works for Debian/ubuntu releases)
or

Why not install it to a SD card (their website describes how) and run it from there to see how you like it. Since it runs from RAM it really don't matter where you boot it from.
It is fast and snappy, but also severely limited in what it can do.
Hope this helps ![]()

I have seen that already, but I just can't install UNetbootin, which is required for this operation.
Thanks anyway.

Thank you, aj123, Puppylinux looks better than Browserlinux. I will now try again to install UNetbootin, I hope it works.

If you want puppy on an eee I recommend going here http://pupweb.org/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?board=puppeee
this is puppeee 4.31 = puppy made for an eee - Its not really a competitor for ubuntu cos it doesnt have the massive repositories that buntu has. But if you want a fast slick system for internet access and basic tasks then this is very good - I have it booting from switch on to desktop in 16s on my 901. Currently ubuntu cant get close to that but I would love to see Lucid lynx booting in the low 20s .
the standard puppeee uses seamonkey - but I am using it with chrome as it is easily the fastest browser I have come across. the forum describes how to get puppee on a stick without having to use unetbootin
