Windows 7 - Can't turn off touch pad using the function key but

everything else seems to work ok.  Any reason why it wouldn't work?

Also do I just use the drivers that came on the disc to get the multi touch going again on the multi touchpad?

ACPI driver is needed to let Fn Key work.

I can confirm also it does not work on my 1005HA-P with Windows 7.

That button is working fine for me with 7 7600, just trying to provide some hope at least it's not dead for everyone...

What drivers are you using?  I used the ACPI drivers from this post...

I'm using the 1.0.0.1 version that's actually for the 1005HA from ASUS's website. Don't think I've done anything special other than that, seems like everything is flying right so far anyhow.

I forgot to install the touchpad driver. roll The on/off button works now.

Yep, switching to the original drivers for the 1005HA did the trick
