Re: Asus to launch a Disney-branded netbook

didn't the EEE already make a home run long age with kids?
why do they need yet another model of netbook under the asus name, let alone with disney's branding all over it?
the specialized disney electronics are starting to make me sick. like those stupid mickey mouse TV's at sears and the terrible pink princess dvd players at wal-mart.
who actually wastes the money to buy this kind of rebranded **** for thier kids when they can get the same product cheaper without the disney junk?

Re: Asus to launch a Disney-branded netbook

It is said to be sold with specific software, including online access for paid schoolwork help.

And it is also said to be a new marketing "niche": after the successful idea of taking elders for babies with the easy desktop, the idea of taking babies....for babies is quite natural.

On this behalf, the computer should not be called "Disney" or "Mickey" but "Uncle Scrooge" (in french, "Picsou", litterally meaning "pique sou" (money robber))

Re: Asus to launch a Disney-branded netbook

so...  Mickey Mouse was standing in front of the divorce court judge.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Mouse... I can't grant this divorce on the grounds of insanity." said the judge.

"But Your Honor", said Mickey. "I didn't say that she was CRAZY,
I said that she was f***ing Goofy..."

Re: Asus to launch a Disney-branded netbook

That's the extent of the branding?
Disney written on the top?
I want pictures of various character frollicking around the screen! I want a big picture of Pluto on the top of the case! I want... actually, I want one with the penguins from Madagascar on it.

Past: Galaxy Black 701 - 2gb RAM - XP Pro SP3
Present: Pearl White 1000H - 500gb HD - XP Pro SP3 & Vista Ultimate SP1 on the hard drive, Ubuntu 8.10 (persistant) on 8gb SDHC, gOS 3.1 on 2gb SD
Future: ?????????
