I'm wandering the same thing on uk release.

When is eeeuser going to make a section for eee touch netbooks?

I have no idea when it is released, but a google.co.uk shopping search found these two sites with pre-orders that will apparently ship to the USA:

£ 450.89 shipped to USA with "2-4 day Fedex" from http://www.handtec.co.uk/product.php?xProd=1964

and this one

£ 482.77 shipped to USA with a much more expensive "International Shipping" from http://www.superetrader.co.uk/asus-eee- … -4113.html

According to google, that is $722 at the first location, $773 at the other.

I honestly would not pay a cent more than $500 considering I could easily buy the 1000he and mod it with a touchscreen for less than that.  Then I'd have a cheaper, faster pc with better battery life.  Of course it would weigh more and not have any of the custom software or a swivel screen, but I would be saving hundreds of dollars.

Asus informed me this morning that the T91's will be shipping during the week of 06/15.

www.allasus.com shows the pre-order price at $529.

Looks like it's now available for pre-order on Amazon for $499:

I believe the 1000HE was popular because of the all around high-end netbook specs plus the best available (at the time) netbook battery life, all for a reasonable price.

What are you comparing T91 to?

He was comparing the T91 to models like the 1000HE, 1008HA, 1005HA, etc.  All of those have lower prices and higher speeds.

On a side note, there are DIY touchscreen kits that retail for <$100 for most of the EEE pc line.  The T91 touch interface still blows those out of the water though, as it is lighter weight, the screen flips over, and it comes with software designed to make use of the touch screen as the primary input device.

Asus is not bringing the T91 in white to the US, nor will the replacement T91MT be available in white.
