Re: The 'Does this game work in Windows' Thread

The first Far Cry works as well. Make sure to edit the file System.cfg so that the resolution is set to 800 x 480.

I used the guide here to change the resolution and edit some of the effects to be more playable (higher FPS).

The textures look a little strange with all of the settings at the lowest. My suggestion is to overclock using EEECtl. Make sure you take the necessary precautions! (And no guarantees anyway)

My Specs:

// EEE 4G / Windows XP Professional SP 3 / 1GB DDR2 667MHz RAM / Overclocked - 1GHz //

Also, I have XP installed on the internal flash, and Far Cry is running from an external USB HD (an old Mac 80G HD converted).

Good luck! big_smile

Also, I have yet to calculate the actual FPS, but it is definitely playable, especially while overclocking. But I reiterate: USE CAUTION!

Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 and the Soaked! and Wild expansion packs for RCT3 work, too.

I didn't have enough time, but when trying out Midtown Madness 2 (Old Skhool!) It just showed the desktop. Battery conked out, needed to go. Will try again later!

Rocapp, I... suspect you never played past the cave in level 1. Once you exit the place the game is ABSOLUTELY UNPLAYABLE even with the g*ddamn trees removed, no matter how much you tweak the thing. I did get good FPS ratings in the cave tutorial, but that's it.

Re: The 'Does this game work in Windows' Thread

Whats this I see about needing a driver for Diablo 2? I seem to be able to play D2 just fine without using any new drivers or anything..

Re: The 'Does this game work in Windows' Thread

I know that this tread is for games, but these Doesen't work:

1. "Guitar Pro 5" (RSE) run choppy, and not suitable for such a small screen. Totaly useless with RSE sounds on.

2. "The Free Tuareg" works, but the 1000H can't render the music, so it can't maintain speed when on playback mode

Will test E-yay, update should come in the near future
