Because I didn't see before any photo about the new 13000mAh battery style mounted in a eeepc901 there go some photos:
more photos: http://www.yomolo.com/basura/index.php? … ./battery/
I didn't test it at all but the first full charge is 12200mAh (it could be worse). The shipping was extremely fast! only 5 days to ireland.
It fits good, it doesn't move when it's plugged. Ruber pieces are not good quality but is ok, and the assemble seem to be solid.

When you get a chance, could you run some tests on how long it lasts?

Ordered right the same battery for my 1000H. Guess it´s not really designed for the small Eee PC...

it's obvious that is meant for the 1000 series.
that to big for 901

Thomas Ricker's comments on this battery are right on target. What is the point of buying a light weight, store almost anywhere netbook; and then adding a monster battery like that? Nope with all the issues regarding laptop batteries I want an extra OEM battery if I can find one without paying too much.

Thats disappointing, I was hoping it would hang out the sides and I thought it was going to curve around the hinges nicely, Looks very nice on the 1000. I hope they will make one to match the profile of the 901 (Not with the same mAh of course).
Battery life must be really good!

I won't dare to take it out for use in the public! ![]()

without wireless or bluetooth, the windows counter says 15:20 min. with wireless 11-12 hours..... I dont care if it's a little huge, by the normal I use the 6600mAh battery but if I'm leaving to the library, travel, outside, or whatever I prefer to go with this one
10 hours minimum its enough for a whole day

Now if they could just make a 901 version
I don't mind if it goes down to 11000 or 12000 mAh capacity, as long as it has the same tight design!

I hope so too!
Let's see!

But two 901 batts would give you 12 hours and be less hassle to carry

The only problem there is that you'd have to shut down or plug in to change battery.
That's one thing I like about the "universal" battery packs that plug into the DC jack.
The downside is the system has no idea how much battery life is left on the external pack.
It'd be nice if someone made one with a USB port (some have USB ports now) that looked like a UPS to the system, then the system would know how much battery is replacing and you could completely remove the primary battery if you needed/wanted to.
But I guess the battery manufacturers make more money on selling compatible replacement batteries, but it'd be way useful for obscure and non-mainstream models.

well this problem could be solved turning on hybernation (maybe with the C: on a big and fast new runcore 32-64GB module) to save the current status before switching battery!
And looks and portability are not compromised...
...but
if they make a 10-12000mah for 901... we'll have 10-12hours with this extended battery + 5-8hours with standard one... total 15-20 hours day long life... ... ... and only for around 70usd... great! (I think a standard 6600 original one costs a lot more...)
let's see...
