The ACPI Fix is obsolet now,
it's recommended to use the ASUS Drivers from the original page.
Anyway, the ACPI Fix is still available on: http://gecko.me/?acpifix
Or you could use this guide to use (older) ASUS Drivers:
1.) Uninstall your current ACPI Driver
2.) Download and extract Asus_ACPI_Driver.zip
3.) Execute Asus ACPI Driver.msi
4.) Restart Windows![]()

You should post this on non-xp forum as well.
Thanks again for your efforts!

Have you looked at why EeePC Tray Utility will not change res to 1024x768? This is now the only thing that I need for Vista and my Eee.
Thanks!

It worked for me but two observations:
1. When I log in I get a pop up that says "Audio Driver not found". Maybe because I didn't install the realtek drivers...
2. When I turn the volume down to the first notch, it the volume jumps to around 50% instead of 5-10%. All other notches work correctly, as well as the mute button.

Hey,
It all works perfect, people sould just try a bit themselves before starting complaining and crying the **** doesn't work.
1. Indeed, file was corrupted. However, managed to open it with AZR. $ 29.95, free @ TPB.
2. Use the latest audio drivers provided by Asus, NOT by Realtek themselves! Dated 080717,
Thanks a thousand times, I'm really happy now!

1. Still corrupt? Empty the cache and download again please. Which browser and packing software do you use?
2. Can you provide a link and the driver version please? ;-)

I tried Winzip and Windows Explorer in MS Vista. No Luck. Both Firefox and IE gave same problem.
Just search around the Asus site, can't give direct link to it.
And besides, I'm using a eee 1000H 160Gb with 2GB of RAM, BIOS 1206 and MS Vista Sp1.

It was packed with WinRAR 3.80. I'm going to re-pack it ...
Can you tell me the driver version, that would be good.

Slightly of topic but interesting I think - I have just installed Server 2008 on my 1000H (which is supposedly based on a striped down Vista kernel) and have had no problems with ACPI except VGA functions, but that's more vga driverr related I think- (I did use the available vista acpi executable that is available) but no issues with any of the function key acticities (e.g. fn+f2 cycles through the Bluetooth / Wifi offf-on finctions). The only thing left to sort out is the 1024x768 issue. I can't get the resolution above 1024x600. I think it is probably VGA driver related....If anyone has any insight it would be apreciated. ![]()
