Internal Speakers

My eeePC makes no sound unless connected through headphones?  Doesn't it have internal speakers?

Re: Internal Speakers

Maybe the speakers are muted or the volume is low.

From the manual...

Mute the speaker: <Fn> + <F7>
Reduce Speaker Volume: <Fn> + <F8>
Increase Speaker Volume: <Fn> + <F9>

Re: Internal Speakers

I had the same problem, even restarting the eeepc didn't help.

Solution, while eeepc is on, plug the headphone back in and unplug it again till it enable the internal speakers.

Re: Internal Speakers

I too discovered the mute and then unmute work around. At first I thought it was because I installed Opera and it caused the problem. This, however, was not the case.

At any rate, for reasons unknown the mute button needs to be clicked and then un-clicked to re-enable the sound. This is clearly a bug
