Is it something that I messed up with NLite, or are desktop icons not transparent with Win XP SP2 on Eee?
I'm trying to find pictures of other's XP e3 to see if they have transparent icon texts.
If any of you installed XP, plz tell me if u have transparent icon texts, or post a pic. Thx.

I have transparent text on desktop.
Can you check Control Panel > System > Advanced > Visual Effects
Check Use drop shadows for icon label on desktop.

Checked it, that's why I'm pretty confused right now.. Hm..

Turns out it's caused by excluding Windows Image Acquisition

There's a setting that controls this.
Go into Control Panel.
Double Click System
Click Advanced
Click Performance
Scroll down to the bottom of the list box. There's a setting that says 'Use drop shadows for Icon Labels on Desktop'. Check this box.
This will sets the box around the icon text to the same color as your background.
Hopefull this will help.

What I meant is, if you delete Windows Image Acquisition when you NLite you're XP, toggling "Use drop shadows for Icon Labels on Desktop" doesn't affect anything.

I posted my message without clearly reading the thread. Sorry I repeated what was already here. My bad.
