I've just released Eee Applet 0.2. In this version, you'll find:
- a preferences dialog,
- fixed overclocking,
- some minor improvements.
You can download it here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/eee-applet
Enjoy !

Hi,
Maybe for us "non-compilers" it would be nice to have a binary in a .deb file !!
Some of the most popular apps here end with that kind of easy install... so maybe eee applet will have one too.

A .deb will be available soon.

RPM also (for those whom have a RPM distro).

Hi, I just posted this elsewhere on this forum:
Re- enable wireless after fn+F2 (change in BIOS?) - Ubuntu 8.10
Could you maybe take a look and give a hint if the problem I have has anything to do with eee-applet?
Thanks...

Hello. I am running your eee applet o my eeepc 700, with xubuntu 8.04 (hardy) kernel 2.6.22-14-generic.
I've had some problem during the ./configure step, since it didn't find some packages like gettext, and others.
Anyway, I successfully installed the eee applet 0.2, but when i click on Highest Overclocking or Fastest Fan nothing happens.
What should I do? I read many users got the same problems, and I searched for some hints but didn't find anything... if you please would so gently to help me I'll be very grateful ![]()
PS: sorry for my bad english, I'm italian user.

i need some help, i installed eee aplet .2 and when i try to overclock or adjust the fan speed it prompts me for my password which i enter correctly, it makes me do this 1 or 2 more times, after it stops prompting me to enter my password i right click the app to see if it changed the speed but the same speed is still selected, the same happens when i try to overclock, i have reinstalled it once before.
