Re: CONTEST: Win a CarryMobile Snake Print Case

I work at a power plant that's currently undergoing a total rehabilitation.

I've had my eeePc for less than two weeks, and it's already starting to show wear.  The spacebar and some other keys are getting shiny spots, and it's getting nicks and dings all over the case.

I'm constantly climbing around the structure of the power plant, at times a couple hundred feet up in the air and needing to make notes on something that needs to be fixed, at times in the lowest drain sump underneath the steam turbine, building up work packages, or even - rarely - in an office, answering email questions from contractors and vendors, etc.

My eee is with me just about everywhere - stuck in the pocket of my coveralls - but it really could use a little extra protection.

I carry mine with mostly everywhere I go, the included case is too thin for my tastes.

I work in a hospital in Northwest Indiana and travel between campuses with my EEE.  My wife utilizes our latest little tech gadget to blog about our wonderful four children on road trips and I would love to have this case so that she keeps it nice and safe in the diaper bag.

I don't do anything that requires my eee to be extra protected; I just want everything I own to look cool and that case looks cool!

Re: CONTEST: Win a CarryMobile Snake Print Case

I bought the EEE to be a fast, light, throw in the bag laptop and that is just what I do.  I bought the surf model, so I dont have the included cover.  My bag contains various other bits of technology, and of course my keys so the EEE is at risk of scratches.  Mostly though I like to be able to pull the EEE out of the bag where i need o, and do some computing.  I am often on my way again before I put the computer away which means that it just gets shoved in while i walk.  I needs some protection.

Re: CONTEST: Win a CarryMobile Snake Print Case

I need it to protect the Eee from me. My overclocking adventures have left the chipset stressing at every FSB adjustment, it squeals in pain at my presence. But this stunning case will protect the Eee from my rampaging attempts at overclocking supremacy.

Re: CONTEST: Win a CarryMobile Snake Print Case

I need extra protection for my eee because I carry it to work from time to time but my current backpack is too big for it. I've always been concerned when I put it into my backpack.. a dedicated bag will definitely give me a peaceful mind each time I want to carry it to work...
Another thought: is there a way I can protect it from water spill?

Re: CONTEST: Win a CarryMobile Snake Print Case

My EEE PC needs extra protection because I can't support any EEE PC babies at this time.

Actually, it needs extra protection because when I finally somehow get one ordered now that it's been 12 weeks since my parents told me we'd wait a week or two to see if the EEE PC has any big problems before ordering one, myself being a poor kid whose only income is money from mowing yards in the summer, cannot afford to pay for any shipping other than the cheapest UPS shipping. UPS being UPS throws packages a few feet to the door quite often, as documented in many hidden camera videos. I do not have confidence in ASUS' EEE PC packaging and thus feel that my EEE PC needs this case to be padded more for the transit from California (Newegg) to Idaho (me), a long journey which goes over mountains and across plains. Then, in my day to day events, my EEE PC will often be in my backpack which also carries heavy schoolbooks which, if I have a large sum of homework for a particular night requiring me to bring home several textbooks, may crack the LCD screen of my EEE PC or just crush the entire thing. Also, while being used in my dad's shop, it is likely that it may be bumped off a table onto a wooden floor, a fall which may render it useless. I cannot allow this to happen because to me, $400 is a year's earnings, not the earnings of a week. I also feel that I need this case because after paying $410 for an EEE PC, I will have only $10 left, an amount too small to purchase a case which can provide ample protection to my EEE PC. Also, if I have a quality case for an EEE PC, I will have more reason to purchase an EEE PC and thus my parents are more likely to take my money and order one. However, if that does not work, having this case will make my frustration in not owning an EEE PC go even further - I will then have made the topic where 825 people have talked about their new EEE's, know more about EEE's than most people who own them, and will have a case for it, but will not have the EEE PC itself.

Re: CONTEST: Win a CarryMobile Snake Print Case

My EEE is due here by UPS day after tomorrow. I know I will need extra protection because I am an old geezer with a bad back. I am prone to falls, walking into door frames, and the like. I hope I can last until my pearly white machine arrives.

Re: CONTEST: Win a CarryMobile Snake Print Case

my eee needs the extra protect because i walk up and down a hill all day long bring my eee to classes.  some of them over a mile away and let me tell you its not easy walking on sheets of ice with strong winds coming at you every from every direction.  Once winter hits the walk anywhere doubles in time if not more some days you walk and it takes you 10 minutes to get 10 feet if your lucky.

Re: CONTEST: Win a CarryMobile Snake Print Case

I'd love to some extra protection for my Eee because it's with me pretty much every time I'm out of the house. It really is an ultraportable that's small and light enough to take everywhere. While I try my best to protect the Eee from bumps, some times it's unavoidable, and this case should provide a good layer of protection. The memory card slots are also a good idea, I have 3 and sometimes lose track of them. I've also got mine in black to match the case tongue

Re: CONTEST: Win a CarryMobile Snake Print Case

My Eee doesn't rest in your average college kid's back pack....

IT RESTS IN MY BACK PACK WHILE I CARVE UP AND DOWN THE STREETS ON MY LONG BOARD TO SCHOOL!

Its going to bobble around in there like crazy!  It needs the protection!  Woo!

I'm a klutz, and I drop my stuff on the floor all the time.  If I don't get some heavy-duty protection for my 2G really quick, it's gonna get beat to heck...

Re: CONTEST: Win a CarryMobile Snake Print Case

I am a college student in the city, and my Eee PC shares bagspace with books, pens, a calculator, the Eee PC charger, and other random sharp metal objects.  I am usually running around (from criminals, deadly pollutive gases etc.) alot, so my goods tend to slosh around in the pack on my back.

Even though I take pride in my Eee, the ladies dont really check me out now when I whip out my small tool.  The tables would definately be turned if I wrapped it in this slick covering!
