Has anyone tried using a Blackberry 8100 (or newer) and tether it to a Xandros EEE PC?
I've been looking for awhile on a way to do this, and came across http://wiki.colar.net/tethering_with_bl … l_on_linux -> does anyone think that will work on our EEE's? I would try it myself, but since I'm pretty new to Linux, I figured it might be best for someone with actual working knowledge of Linux to verify...just b/c I say it didnt work, doesnt mean I really did everything right! Having unlimited internet (if no wifi is available, I can just use my unlimited cell data plan) would be great! ![]()
Thank you!

Make sure that your blackberry has at least 4.5 firmware.

Still seems like we don't have a bluetooth tethering solution between my PC901 (Xandros) and Blackberry (Curve on firmware v.4.5) or am I wrong?
I can do a file-transfer send from the BB to the PC. I can't find a way of transferring from PC to BB. The only device option available in Azurebt appears to be dial-up.
I'm mostly interested in media transfer but has anyone got any further?
