freeeee is a Linux Distribution optimized for the eeepc 900 and comprised of 100% Free (as in speech) software. It is packaged as a live image that can be booted from a usb stick and then installed to the SSD drive. It uses the light-weight Openbox window manager and includes an excellent complement of pre-installed software. It is a collaboration of the folks who brought you BLAG and dyne:bolic.

freeeee uses kernels developed as part of the linux-libre project.

Truly original , works well on a 701 , only I wish my Spanish was better ! It seems to have everything for music and video , really cool as non-usual , somewhat destabilizing at the beginning . Very good job !
