The last few days my connection to me router has been working fine. Today it has stopped and the status says "pending" and just stays there and will not connect. This pending is new to me Any ideas would be appreciated jim_joh

Have you tried switching off wifi Fn F2 and then switching it back on after a bit?

You might want to try switching to Easy mode and then back to Advanced Mode, but also, you'll want to search the forums; a lot of us have noticed 'some annoyances' but I'm generally happy with WiFi myself.

I had read the posts and I did switch the wifi on & off and also changed desk tops to no avail I am trying to find why it keeps saying "pending" and never comes off that. Also for the first week it worked great until I went to my daughter's home and put the key in for her wifi. When I returned to my home & changed the key to mine this Happened. Thanks for your ideas jim_joh

In that case you might find that deleting the current wifi connection and re-entering all the connection details again might work. I have similar problems when I use my modem and then try to connect using my home wifi setting.

thanks everybody. Problem solved. I deleted all connection settings and started over. Works fine. I will figure out what procedure to use when going to another hot spot so this does not happen again. jim_joh

I had noted that opening up another wi-fi point (at a cafe) meant that when I got home (and though I had set the connection to auto-connect) it had 'lost' my WEP key and this had to inputted again. As above.
Tedious, n'est pas?
So no one has found a reason for why this happens or, more importantly, a fix?

Thanks, forum folk! Just did the delete and create new connection thing and I'm good to go on my home wireless network. Looking forward to testing my new gadget and learning more from y'all.

how do you delete and create a new connection? I'm confused, don't you just view avail networks and click connect?

In easy mode, under the Internet tab look for the following icons:
1. Wireless Networks: This is in effect a sniffer, hunting out wireless networks that you connect to for a single use connection
2. Network: Here you set up persistent networks, which should remember the settings but which,as explained above, you need to delete and receate when they do forget your settings
