Hello my fellow ET1602 Users,

i just installed the Bios 0803 for my ET1602 - Reason was a contact at Asus adviced me to do so because it should be more Windows 7 friendly.

Well, what shall i say ...it is ! The system performs miles faster than with the 0403 Bios under Windows 7. but ...

I noticed in the bios hardware monitor, where i had before a temperature of around 45° with the 0403 bios, i now have around 54-55° with the 0803 bios.

That gives me to think ...

What do you guys think ? ...is this a wrong measure fail or did they really give some more volts to some components with the new bios ?

Sad to say, this 0803 bios has no notes on any changes.

I am sorry I never came to this forum earlier. I just posted on Win 8 pro running well on a stock, no bios updates, no mods, ET1602. I thought about updating to latest bios, and surely those extra ten degrees are not so bad. Must look into N270 atom long term issues. Does the fan become intrusive now?
