Thanks for the tip.
Did you have to upgrade the BIOS or add any other utilities/drivers? I installed the above but my volume buttons are still unresponsive.

Yes I upgraded the BIOS to the lastest version.
To be honest I have tried a lot of software/drivers to get all the functions to work on my 1602. But now everything works :)
