Changing the background is not supported by Microsoft and most 3rd party tools would be considered hacks

With windows 7 starter you cant change the background but a small helpful trick for covering up the windows logo>> go on gadgets get the slideshow gadget and pause it on a picture you like or a picture you downloaded. Click the make larger button and move it in front of the windows logo. Enjoy!

With windows 7 starter you can not change the background in till you upgrade to home premium. So for now for any windows 7 starter users follow my derections up there ^ and you can at least cover up the windows logo.

Thats impossible. You must have home premium.

Theres a website that will tell you your wrong. Also you can search "windows 7 starter cant change wallpaper" and find various websites that tell you with windows 7 STARTER not home premium, you cannot change your background intill you upgrade.

Anyone has a hack to run this on Ultimate? I'd like to get the shells wallpapers back without doing a system restore, but when I run this it complains it only runs on 7 starter edition.
