I just got my eee 900 but cant seem to get two finger scrolling to work. In settings -> touchpad the box for vertical scrolling is checked but nothing is happening in firefox. However it seems to detect two fingers because when i put them down the cursor stops insted of jumping around as with an ordinary laptop. Any ideas?

Have you removed the sticky cover on the touch pad?
I *haven't* (mainly cos I only just realised it was there) and I've not had any problems with scrolling in FireFox.

Yes I have removed it. Took some time for me too to realise it was there. :)

I hade exactly the same problem... would you mind trying to restart the gui (Crtl-Alt-Backspace) and try it then... after that for me two finger scrolling still did not work, but side scrolling (as on the 701) did work...
please try it, as if it is the same for you, then it might be a general problem...

thanks... it is not the same problem, then... since I got tired of not being able to use the two finger scrolling, I restored the OS from the provided DVD and ever since I have no problem, two finger scrolling does work...
it does not mean that I recommend to restore the OS... I am just sharing my experience, btw... :)

update: I seem to have one finger scrolling on the right edge of the trackpad. Strange indeed.

Is it possible that the wrong touchpad driver is installed?
